We do not distribute your money and step back. We invest, we enable, we oversee and we stay involved. We bring together community insight, clinical partners and social investment in a structured and accountable way so that the right services can start, grow and scale.

We are not the NHS

We work collaboratively with public, private and voluntary sector partners to design and deliver services that the NHS alone cannot. We focus on health, wellbeing and social equity, tackling local challenges through innovative, outcomes-based approaches.

Why we exist

  • We believe that too many of the most effective health interventions struggle to get off the ground because public funding can be constrained, short-term and not aligned to unmet needs.
  • Charitable funding alone cannot meet the scale of need. We exist to bridge that gap.
  • We believe the best ideas for improving health in West Hertfordshire are already out there. They live in community organisations, voluntary groups, faith spaces and the everyday experience of people navigating a health system that was not always designed with them in mind.
  • We believe that sustainable change does not come from the top down. It never has. It comes from community voices, shared power and the courage to invest in things that work, not only things that are easier to fund.

What we are building

A bridge between communities, the NHS and investors that channels funding into health and wellbeing services. The aim is to meet real local needs across South and West Hertfordshire.

A sustainable infrastructure for preventative and early intervention care. Our first investment is in proactive care. Services focused on preventing long-term issues with community-based action are in development. This is what investing upstream looks like in practice.

Lasting system change. Not one-off projects. Long-term improvements in how health and care systems work in South & West Hertfordshire more integrated, more efficient, and more community-driven.
